During 2006 Taylor Weaver let or sold 816,960 sq.ft. comprising 33 transactions.

Acting on behalf of British Waterways in respect of the acquisition of this landmark canalside Business Centre. The centre was let to a variety of tenants including Blackburn with Darwen Council, Hemm Inns and a number of private smaller businesses.
//West End Works, Oswaldtwistle.
Retained by Blackburn based engineers, Cobble. We were instructed to sell their manufacturing unit in Oswaldtwistle extending to 38,000sq.ft which due to consolidation had become surplus to requirements. After a period of marketing the property was sold to Winchester Furniture who have subsequently retained us to market the surplus accommodation. Lettings to Methode Engineering and Rainbow International have already been achieved

We were instructed by Winchester Furniture to market their production facility which extended to 35,000sq.ft on the outskirts of Blackburn on a confidential basis. After a short period we negotiated the letting of the whole site to UK Insulations, a fast growing local manufacturer who had outgrown their existing factory.

We were instructed by Northern Trust to find a tenant for a 150,000sq.ft warehouse on an established industrial estate on the edge of Burnley. Following a short period of comprehensive marketing we negotiated the letting of the whole site to Christian Salvesen, who had been awarded the contract to distribute footwear for local company, Lambert Howarth.

We were instructed by Northgate Vehicle Hire to market their former car and van hire depot which extended to 4000sq.ft on a site of just under 1 acre. After a short marketing period we agreed terms for the sale to Adhan Group Ltd. We have subsequently been retained to lease the site.

Following the sale of the building to Enza Property Group, we were retained to market the premises following redevelopment and subdivision. Initially 20,000sq.ft was let to ESC Limited. The property was then sold to Blutex Office Express Ltd who occupied the remainder of the building which extended to 25,000sqft

Negotiating the letting of 30,000sq.ft of accommodation within this multi let Business Centre to the NHS. The ground and first floor had been undeveloped for a number of years, however following our involvement terms were agreed on the basis of a new 20 year lease. The Business Centre is now nearly full and provides a cost effective office solution to small and growing businesses needs.
Following the letting of the ground and first floor to the NHS, the Business Centre was introduced to British Waterways. We had been retained by British Waterways for a number of years and had acquired a number of buildings including Eanam Wharf, Blackburn and Albion Mill, Clayton Le Moors. They immediately recognised the opportunity and following negotiation with the vendors agents solicitors were instructed. The sale which took place off market was completed in Summer 2007

. We identified a Town Centre retail investment which was suitable for a retained client. Following a site visit, a proposal was submitted to the vendors agents which was accepted. A short time after, the sale was completed. We have been subsequently retained to market the vacant upper floor offices.

. We were instructed to market a new development of industrial units providing a range of units from 2500 sq.ft to 4000 sq.ft. After a short period of marketing all four units were sold. Occupiers include Viscount Environmental, Fueltek and Howard Mercer.

. We were instructed by Prestwich Glass to market their manufacturing facility providing 6500 sq.ft of quality industrial space. After a short period we sold the premises to a private investor who has subsequently retained us to let the unit.

. Acting on behalf of local oil distributor, Geo Broughton & Sons we have negotiated the letting of their former offices and yard to international car hire operator Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
